The Lithium-Ion energy storage units are certified safe for use and ensure that the excess energy produced from photovoltaic cells in a home environment is safely stored in the storage module units, which can be harnessed later when required. The running cost of an electric vehicle today in India is about Rs.1 per km. A 40KW battery installed in an EV can cover distances of 300-400 km before it requires charging. The charging process takes about 5-6 hours. In the case of home electricity, the excess power harnessed is stored in the storage units and used when needed. Hence, keeping expense costs minimal.
